As an investing platform targeting high net-worth individuals, the Yieldstreet sign up process has several friction points. From requiring accreditation to linking a bank account, getting started is a high touch process that many potential investors drop off during before making it to their first investment. The creative team was tasked with making a How it Works video to live on the how it works webpage, walking a potential user through the sign up process and illustrating what they can access once they have successfully been verified.

Since our target customer skews older, we decided to use a mix of live action and 3D animation to establish trust and give the brand a human voice. The animated segments show an elevated version of the Yieldstreet platform, rather than being a literal screen recording (unlike many of the competition's how it works videos). The objective was for the video to be informative, but to also highlight the brand's point of difference (breadth of investment opportunities) and key reasons-to-believe (security, built and vetted by professionals, etc.).
