To engage students who were sick of online learning and dying of Zoom fatigue, General Assembly kicked off 2021 with a series of conferences where people could learn and interact virtually. The conferences were designed to mimic an in-person experience, with breakout rooms, swag, and social interactivity.
To maximize engagement, the campaign identity was designed around a series of badges for each conference (i.e. Women in Tech, Black in Tech, Pride Summit) that was translated across Zoom backgrounds, Instagram stickers, and more. The idea was to get people to identify with their conference – which is why each one had its own mini color palette and badge design.
